Other Providers

If you are attending a course at the Suffolk Babies Centre, run by another provider or under another name, please see the terms and conditions for that course provider.

Courses run by Suffolk Babies

All Suffolk Babies teachers have completed a training programme and undergo regular CPD.

Newsletter

By signing up to one of our courses, you give your consent to receive information from us by email, and we will contact you to ask if you wish to receive our regular newsletter. You can unsubscribe from this at any time. We will not pass your information onto anyone else and promise never to spam you!

Insurance

We have insurance to cover professional indemnity and public liability.

Booking and Renewal

Bookings and renewals are to be made through our online booking system on www.suffolkbabies.co.uk. Renewals do not take place automatically so you will have to ensure that you do renew in order to keep a place on a subsequent term of a course. We send renewal reminders out mid-way through the current course.

Changing Times and Venues

We will endeavour to provide you with at least 7 days’ notice should the venue or time of a course have to be changed. Sometimes problems occur with venues that are outside of our control, in which case we will do our best to offer you an alternative venue or a refund.

Taking Payment

Payment is required in advance of taking your first class. Payments are taken through our online booking system on www.suffolkbabies.co.uk. Please contact us if for whatever reason you are unable to use the online system.

Refunds and Cancellations

We do not normally offer a refund if you cannot attend a class. We do however allow you to swap classes (where space allows) so that as far as possible you are able to attend the full number of classes you have booked.

Video and Photography

Video and photography are not allowed in any of our sessions.

Valuables and Personal Possessions

During evening classes we will lock the front door.

Suffolk Babies do not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions before, during or after a class.

Buggy Parking at the Suffolk Babies Centre, Kesgrave

We request that you park your buggy in front of the building, where possible and practical. Unless your baby is asleep in it, then please bring it inside. We cannot take responsibility for the safety of buggies inside or outside the building. If you bring your buggy inside, please park it along the wall under the coat hooks, to keep the entrance way and desk area clear.

Car Parking

We only have three allocated parking spaces, so wherever possible please use the on-street parking outside of the business park. Please don’t park in the vets’ car park.

Withdrawal of service

Suffolk Babies may, at our own discretion, refuse entry to a client on one of our courses.

Health and Safety at the Suffolk Babies Centre, Kesgrave

You are welcome to make yourself a hot drink whilst at the centre, but you are responsible for your own and your children’s safety. We provide cups with lids, but be aware that these are not totally spill-proof, so please take care of yourself and others around you.

Please keep the stairgates within the centre closed at all times, and the door to the kitchen and toilet closed.

Please keep children downstairs when not in a class, and do not allow them to play on the stairs or in the hallway area.

Please hang bags and coats on the hooks provided to keep them off the floor and out of the way of small children.

Please ensure that your class teacher has up-to-date emergency contact details for you.

Entry to the Suffolk Babies Centre, Kesgrave

In some cases, especially during evening classes, the front door may be locked. Please ring the doorbell for entry, unless your class is already in progress – in which case please do not disturb the class.

Cancelled sessions – illness or bad weather

Your Suffolk Babies teacher will always try to make sure your class runs. However, if a class is cancelled they will attempt to make contact with you, so please ensure they have correct contact details for you, and check your phone before leaving for the class.

If the weather is bad, your teacher will notify you if the class is not running. If the class does run and you decide not to attend, no refund will be given.

Exclusion of Liability

In the absence of any proven negligence, lack of due diligence, or breach of duty by the instructor, Suffolk Babies, or its employees, the participation of you, your partner, your baby or your child or those in whose care you have placed your baby/child for the purpose of attending class, is done so entirely at your own risk.

Medical Conditions

It is vital that you inform your teacher of any medical conditions that might affect your or your child’s time in class. All information is treated sensitively and in confidence.

It is your responsibility to keep your teacher up to date with any conditions you may have, and advise them of any new conditions or complications.

If you or your child are unwell or you are unsure whether to attend a class or not, you must inform your teacher BEFORE you come to class so they can assess the risks to the other attendees of the class. Please do not attend a class if you or your child have had any vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours.
